Welcome to Curries Woods

Curries Woods, built in 1957, is a HOPE VI site.  It consists originally of 295 units as a result of the demolition of six high-rise buildings, substantial redesign and rehabilitation of the remaining high rise (91 units) and new construction of 204 townhouses.

In the renovated high-rise seniors and disabled, there are currently 26 1-bedroom units, 52 2-bedroom units and 13 3-bedroom units.  In the townhouses, there are currently 58 2-bedroom homes, 92 3-bedroom homes, and 54 4-bedroom homes.

From Journal Square:  Travel west to Kennedy Boulevard.  Turn left onto Kennedy Boulevard.  Turn left onto Pamrapo Avenue.  Turn right onto Old Bergen Road.  Turn right onto New Heckman Drive.

From Bayonne:  Travel north on Kennedy Boulevard.  Turn right onto Pamrapo Avenue.  Turn right onto Old Bergen Road.  Turn right onto New Heckman Drive.

 

From N.J. Turnpike:  Take Exit 14A, bearing to far right after toll onto E. 53rd Street.  Turn right onto Broadway.  Turn left onto Garfield.  Turn left onto Merritt Street to security booth.
