 | When a prospective offer of placement, in accordance with
JCHA preferences and selection criteria, will be made to an applicant family in the
relatively near future, they will be scheduled for an interview to verify eligibility. |
 | If the applicant family meets eligibility standards, the
JCHA ascertains qualifying preference. If the
applicant family qualifies with a preference, the JCHA will conduct appropriate
background checks to determine if the applicant will make a suitable resident. |
 | Once an applicant family meets the passes the JCHA's
eligibility and suitability criteria, and "qualifies with a preference", a meeting will
be scheduled with the Site Manager and (when available) members of an Applicant
Screening Committee. |
 | The primary function of JCHA Applicant Screening is to
ensure that no applicant is determined to be eligible who will be a threat to or
jeopardize the health, safety or welfare or right to peaceful enjoyment of the premises
of current JCHA residents. Applicants will also be informed of our expectations of
a JCHA resident as well as services and programs offered through the JCHA. |
 | While awaiting an offer of a unit, approved applications
are filed by bedroom size required, and in accordance with JCHA applicant selection
criteria, including local preferences and application dates. |
