To apply for public housing, fill out the public housing application and the Authorization for Release of Information/Privacy Act Notice in their entirety, and mail to:

This section will help in answering any questions you may have regarding the application selection and assignment process: Your application will be managed by the Jersey City Housing Authority’s Applicant Selection Department. To ensure that your application remains updated and active, and that we are able to contact you at the appropriate time, it will be your responsibility to do the following: FYou must advise us of any change in address by writing to the APPLICANT SELECTION DEPARTMENT. If we are unable to contact you by mail, your application will be withdrawn from the waiting list. FYou must report any changes in family composition and the type and amount of income your household receives. This information may have an impact on the position of your application on the waiting list.
Interviews and Screening Process
If you are a current or potential public housing resident, it is recommended that you familiarize yourself with some of the policies and procedures developed and adopted by the Jersey City Housing Authority in accordance with applicable Federal laws and the rules and regulations of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
